Title:  Interlocking remnants
Description:  The diamond is just behind the white car. Note the crossing signals where the dirt road paralleling the CSX line crossed the disused portion of the Caso. Note the signals turned away from the tracks. Also of interest, not the line of concrete supports alongside the track. These and other bits of concrete and metal in the foreground are the remains of the original manually operated interlocking! Walking along the ROW we also found bits of coal and cinders buried in the ballast.

Description:  This little shed controlled the CSX-CN (Caso) crossing at Fargo. When crossing the disused Caso track the CSX crew would push a button in the grey box next to the door to line the signal at the diamond for their train. CN disabled the signals when they bought this piece of the CSX in 2006.
